American artist Michael English was born in 1972 in the town of Decatur, Georgia. He grew up as a small town Georgian in a modest middle class home. Michael now lives and works in Dacula, Georgia, only a few miles from his hometown. He is a devoted Christian and seeks to use his God given artistic talent as a vehicle to spread the life giving joy that comes from the Christian life.

Michael is self-taught artist and works in pencil, charcoal, acrylic, and digital media. He is best known for his realistic attention to detail in themes of natural beauty, the happiness of simple pleasures and the wonderment of childhood. Michael discovered his love for art and began drawing at an early age. He credits his wife for getting him started with the medium of paint. During their courtship, she wanted to purchase a barstool that had flowers painted on it. After seeing the barstool and the simplicity of the design he decided he would paint her one for her birthday. Michael completed the project and with her approval of the stool, a painter was born. Michael's art career has evolved from decorating a barstool to custom paintings and large-scale murals.

As devoted husband and doting father to his only son, Michael strives to lead a balanced life, committed to Christian family values. Michael credits the Lord for both the ability and the inspiration to create his art. His goal as an artist is to share with people of all faiths and to touch their lives with the peace, and joy he finds in Jesus Christ by the images he creates.
